Halo 3 ODST
What did everyone think about Halo ODST? I will give my short impression of it in just a few words "not enough of it" I always try to play these the first time on the hardest levels, usually with my son and we beat the entire campaign in about 3 hours with a break or two. It was much the same with my complaint with the last Halo, just not long enough. I did enjoy that it seemed to be a bit harder than the Halo we have come to expect with the MC but my huge gripe is with the length of the story this time. I played some of the multiplayer online but I fear again that the latest Halo trend will die pretty quick, especially with the comming games hitting the scene soon enough, my son has already gone back to COD 4 today. I am not sure what the designers are thinking but while it is great they need to do something to make the story line of the campaigns longer and better. Paying 60 bucks for a 3.5 hour story is not a good by in my book, if you can rent it and then decide if you want to buy it. This is of course my oppinion and I would encourage anyone to comment and let me know what is on there minds.
Watch Out For Scams
One thing that everyone needs to watch out for is Online Scams. These will come in the form of a lot of different types and venues. You see a lot of the email scams that come through from Nigeria, or Lottery wins from Europe. For the most part most of these are very noticable and most people will delete them and not bat an eye. The problem enters when it elicits a response due to a volnerability, by this I mean that the person viewing something is in a state that they have an issue. These issues can be one of many a list such as finacial, relationships, jobs and etc.
The issue I want to talk about is the issue of people with questionable credit looking for loans. The person looking for the loan has a definite need for some kind of funding but has been all through the web looking for just one person to give them a loan. One day out of the blue that person gets a phone call after spending the previous night filling out loan applications. Great somone to finaly give the person a fighting chance, but waite you have to ask yourself why would everyone turn me down and this person is willing to give me this loan. They give you the particulars and give there phone number and send you the specific loan documentation. All is going well and you decide this will work and you call the loan officer and there pbx type system routes you to the specific agent. You talk then you both go through the contract and you sign it and send it back. They then notify you that they have a couple options for sending you money but first since you are a new customer you have to secure the loan with advance months of payments, and maybe insurance. Do not ever send any money up front to get money, other than if it was disclosed as an application fee or some sort of appraisal. So you tell them you agree but you will not pay anything up front, if it is a scam they will more than likely give you a line that they need to send this to there accounting department and it will take a certain amount of days. What they seem to be hoping is that your situation gets desperate enough that you send them the money to get the loan. Do not do this, wait the seven days and see if they return your call.
Most of these preditors are preying off the people that are in a lot of need that have a weekness. Your problem may be hard but think things through, make sure when it deals with money or something that is crucial to your well being research it. Here is a couple things you can do, first of all do not deal with an overseas lender, there is a lot of things other countries do not have to disclose that the U.S. does, and you may get in trouble that way, other than that the fraud in these cases are more common than ever getting a legitimate lender. Second Ask for the web site, also address and phone number, check the address out put it in Google see if there is a business with that name in the building, if there is goto that site and compare them, usually a mirror of a scammer is close. Do a Whois search make sure there information does not have flags in it. Also check out the phones they gave you compare it to the google page you pulled up, call it put in other extentions see if they have more than a few people on the directory. Look on the web put there name in make sure no one has posted a scam report, this is crucial.
Here is a list of things to absolutely say no to:
1. Send up front fees to Someone via Western Union
2. Send fees WU to Canada or other countries
3. Do not disclose your bank account and routing number.
When I am getting a loan from a third party lender I will sometimes open a separate checking account just to use for expedience, that way once the money is transfered then you can easily pull the funds and they can no longer get to them.

Suntrustfin.com Suntrust Financial is a real company, but this site tries to mirror them, notice the phone system is not operational.
Most of these guys will send you a contract that looks very real so just be on the guard.
As a closing note do not ever deal with a loan from europe, or Canada, or of course Nigeria, these seem to be hotspots as of late. If you know the lender in these countries and have dealt with them before it is usually safe, as long as your dealing with known contacts.

This Whole United Nations Fiasco
First of all I would like to say that I feel the United Nations has outlived its usefulness. All they have done for years is attacked U.S. policies and our way of governing. I remember reading about the United Nations when it was founded and they never got caught up in the type of dialogue they have in the last two decades. I listened to a couple of the dictators that spoke today totally attacking the U.S and thought it very comical that people started walking out. It is hard to believe that we seem to be going down a path that seems to want to be-friend these people and be nice to them.
The President's speech at the United Nations was an even bigger travesty in its content and its delivery. I cannot understand why the President of the United States has to get up in front of other leaders and always say America is wrong, and no one else bars the burden of any fault in anything. I would never go as far to think that the President is Anti-American but as much as he does not like the way things were done you pick up and move forward. It is my hope that Our President is not delving on the past to try to stymie his lowering approval ratings. The last thing I saw him do is lambaste Israel which has always been one of our allies. I do not see how he can continue to attack Israel to try to further his political agenda in the Middle East. In all reality I think Israel now has the green light to take actions into their own hands because the United States has now abandoned them.
I think that the United Nations has showed that they are truly Anti-American; they have U.S. haters chosen to run the agenda for the General Assembly and also elect these people to lead very important committees that make world laws and guidelines. I think the United Nations needs to move their headquarters to another county; we give them way to much money which is much more than any other country in the assembly. I think we even pay for the upkeep of the facility on top of the dues we pay. There is one silver lining to the United Nations being in the U.S. and that is that we can keep an eye on them.

Pets and Pet Care
I am a pet owner, I have two wonderfull Beagles. I have always been Alergic to dogs and cats, but when we got my first Beagle I had a period of about 2 months that I had symptoms and then is was over, now I am alergic to other dogs but I am fine with my dogs. If you are looking to get a dog make sure you research, do not go out and get the cutest little dog you can find. I did this of course I am ok with my decision but there are some things to take into consideration. Beagle are Hounds, they like the outside and need to be in the world where they can utilize there greatest gift their nose. They are high maintenance, and can have some bad habbits. They are not the ideal House dog. One thing you will get with a beagle is an even tempered dog that has a great social order, what I mean is they are easy going and friendly most of the time. They will be your best friend when you need a friend, they will try to be a lap dog, and if you have two of them that is they will both try to be a lap dog at the same time. Now here is the bad habbits part.
They will tear up furniture if not under supervision
They will Howl in the middle of the night
They have a Hound type odor
They Shed
They are prone to weight gain (mainly because of the Breed) (They will eat at all times if you let them)
If you can handle some of these things then a Beagle is the perfect little snoopy for you. Please tell me about your pets or pet experiences, please post comments.

The state of Our Country
Hello everyone, it just sickens me what has come to be with our country. I am no loon or nut case but it seems the secrecy and questionable things happening by the Government is alarming. We have socialized many businesses and they want to socialize medicine. The stimulus was an utter failure, The Preseident would have gone fruther to give the stimulus to the people. Now the economy is not real good, Jobs are scarce and money is tight everywhere.
I also got caught up in the hype, but now I am in a dead end job, and always looking for a way to make an extra buck. Well I am hoping the American Dream returns soon. Please post comments and tell me what is on your mind.

My Gaming Interests
I am a huge fan of Call of Duty 4, Gears of War, Prototype, Need For Speed Shift, Halo, and Fallout 3. These are the games I always play on the XBox 360. I usually play these games with my son who is 15.
The main thing I like about these games are that the action never slows down. I watch my son do the Clan Matches all the time on Gamebattles. Looks like a lot of fun!!!
